Have an unforgettable adventure through Peru’s most impressive landscapes! This 16-day tour will take you to explore Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Cusco, and Manu, one of the world’s richest biodiversity areas.
We will start in Lima, the capital of Peru, where you will spend a night and enjoy its award-winning cuisine and vibrant nightlife. Then, we will head to Ica, where you will stay in the magical oasis of Huacachina surrounded by dunes and palm trees. Here, you will have the opportunity to practice sandboarding and take a buggy ride through the desert.
We will continue our journey to Arequipa, known as the White City, and make a stop in Chivay to admire the views of the famous Cruz del Condor, where you can see these majestic animals in their natural habitat. Then, we will visit the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world, and spend a night in Arequipa to explore the city and its surroundings.
After Arequipa, we will head to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Here, you will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a sacred and mystical place, where you can see the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo and Pisac. Then, we will embark on a four-day hike through the Salkantay Mountain, where you can enjoy the stunning natural beauty and Andean wildlife, until reaching the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the world.
Lastly, we will journey to the Manu jungle, where you will spend four nights in one of the world’s most important conservation areas. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the Amazon rainforest, see exotic animals in their natural habitat, and meet local communities.

Arrival in the capital of Peru, welcome at the airport by our transfer, and then we continue for about an hour to the district of Miraflores, where you will be checked into your hotel. Lima has many treasures such as its beautiful museums, gastronomy, architecture, and colorful streets…

Departure in the morning from the bus terminal in Lima to Ica – Huacachina, located 307 km south of Lima (4 hours away) via the Pan-American Highway between the Pacific Ocean and the desert. Arrival and transfer to your hotel to settle in.
Free lunch and a full day in Huacachina: A magnificent oasis located among the highest dunes of the Nazca Desert. In the afternoon, embark on a buggy ride and sandboarding adventure: Guaranteed excitement. Overnight at the hotel.

Arrival in Arequipa in the morning and transfer to the hotel. There is a possibility to take a walking city tour, visiting the Cathedral, Santa Catalina Monastery, San Camilo Market, and the Juanita Mummy Museum.

08:00 AM: The transportation will pick up guests from various hotels to begin our journey to one of the deepest canyons in the world. Our route will take us along the Yura road, skirting the Chachani snow-capped mountain towards Pampa Cañahuas (Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve), the habitat of beautiful South American camelids such as vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. In the wetlands of Tocra, we will be able to appreciate a variety of migratory birds, and if we’re lucky, we might spot flamingos. We will pass by the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura) and make a stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, which is also the highest point of the journey (4,910 meters above sea level). From here, we can enjoy a panoramic view of a large part of the western mountain range.
13:40 PM: We will arrive at the Colca Valley, where we will settle into our hotel in Chivay, a charming village, and then have lunch.
15:00 PM: In the afternoon, we will enjoy the thermal baths in La Calera, which have thermo-medicinal waters ranging from 35º to 38º Celsius.
19:00 PM: We will have dinner accompanied by a folkloric show featuring typical dances from the region.

06:00 AM: We will start the day early to witness the flight of the condors after breakfast. 06:30 AM: We will head to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, a strategic observation point for the canyon and the spectacular flight of the condors. On the way back, we will make stops at the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, which have beautiful colonial churches, as well as at the viewpoints of Choquetico and Antahuilque. From there, we will observe the impressive terraces of the valley, as well as pre-Inca tombs and models. 12:00 PM: We will return to Chivay for lunch. 13:10 PM: Departure towards the city of Arequipa, arrival at 18:00. 21:00 PM: Departure of the bus on the Arequipa – Cusco route.

Full Day Sacred Valley of the Incas
07:00 AM: Departure in a group tourist transport. The first visit is to the archaeological site of Chinchero, located 30 km from the city of Cusco. This village is an Inca textile center where we will learn about the wool process and its pigmentation. We will then continue to the archaeological site of Moray, an Inca agricultural research center where crop experiments were conducted at different altitudes. Afterward, we will proceed to the Maras Salt Mines, which consist of over 3,000 natural salt pools, each measuring 5 square meters. These 3,000 pools are fed by a hypersaline underground spring that originated 110 million years ago during the formation of the Andes Mountains. We will have a break and enjoy a buffet lunch. We will then continue for 30 minutes to the town of Ollantaytambo, where the Temple of the Llama is located. To conclude the visit, we will arrive at the Pisaq viewpoint and return to the city of Cusco by 7:00 PM.

04:30 AM: Pick-up from respective hotels. 05:00 AM: Departure from Cusco, passing through Izcuchaca and Limatambo, to reach Mollepata, where we will pay S/20.00 for entry to Humantay Lake. 08:00 AM: Breakfast. We will hand over 5 kilograms of luggage to our muleteer. We will board the bus from Mollepata to Challacancha, which takes about 1 hour. Then we will begin the hike to the viewpoint where we can appreciate the Humantay snow-capped mountain and the Inca canals. Afterward, we will continue hiking for approximately 3.5 hours to the lunch and camping site at Soraypampa. Humantay Lake: Ascent and visit to the lake, located at 4220 meters above sea level. The ascent takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes, and the descent takes 40 minutes. 18:00 PM: Tea time. 19:00 PM: Buffet dinner, and finally, we will retire to our cabins to rest.

05:00 AM: Buffet breakfast. 06:30 AM: Gradual ascent of 4 hours to reach the Salkantay pass, located at 4650 meters above sea level. During this journey, we will pass by two historical points: Salkantay-pampa and Soyroq’ocha. At the pass, we will make a small offering with coca leaves to our Pachamama and the Apu Salkantay, and we will talk about the history and religion of the Incas. Descend to the lunch point at Huayrac-pampa, where we will have a 1 hour and 30 minutes lunch break. We will continue the hike from 4100 meters above sea level to 2900 meters above sea level for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes through the cloud forest, reaching the campsite named Colpapampa, where we will have our tea and dinner.

06:00 AM: Buffet breakfast. Afterwards, we will walk for 5 hours and 30 minutes through the cloud forest, with ascents, descents, and flat sections. Along the way, we will see coffee plantations, orchids, begonias, bromeliads, and many natural plants used in ancestral medicine. We will reach our lunch point at Playa Sahuayaco. Then, we will take transportation to Hidroelectrica and walk for 3 hours to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in a hostel and have our last dinner at a restaurant.

We will wake up very early to have the visit to Machu Picchu with a guided tour of the citadel, temples, terraces, palaces, and platforms. Then, you will have time to take photos and explore on your own.
Afterwards, you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to wait for your Expedition train at either 14:55 or 18:20, depending on availability.

We will then reach the last mountain of Acjanaco, the entrance to MANU NATIONAL PARK, where we will descend into the majestic cloud forest, home to a great variety of flora and fauna. This ecosystem is ideal for epiphytes, orchids, bromeliads, and more. We will have a picnic for lunch and then walk along an Inca path that belonged to the Antisuyo. We will continue exploring the cloud forest, where we can spot the national bird of Peru, the colorful Cock-of-the-Rock, performing its ritual courtship dance, as well as toucans, trogons, quetzals, and monkeys. There is a possibility of sighting the South American spectacled bear (Tremarctos ornatus). Continuing our day’s excursion, we head to Patria, a small village in the Amazon, and arrive at our first lodge. We will have dinner and free time to enjoy cold drinks. Then you will spend the night in our comfortable rooms.

We will depart early in the morning on a boat that will take us to the Parrot Clay Lick, located 20 minutes from the Camp. Here, we will observe exotic parrots and blue-headed macaws. The spectacle is impressive both visually and audibly. Afterwards, we will return to the lodge for breakfast and then embark on a hike to the waterfall (Amaru Mayu). During the hike, we will have the opportunity to observe various monkeys, birds, and medicinal plants. After lunch, we will board the boat that will take us back along the river to our next camp, where our lodge is located. Along the way, we will pass through fruit and vegetable plantations, such as mandarins, lemons, bananas, yucca, cocoa, avocado, breadfruit, and chirimoya. We will taste some of these fruits before finally arriving at our comfortable rooms. In the evening, there will be some free time to track tapirs and search for tarantulas and snakes.
After breakfast, we will cross the river on the boat where our tourist transportation awaits us, which will take us to the imperial city of Cusco, once again crossing the cloud forest and enjoying all the species in the area. Estimated arrival time in the city is 4:00 p.m.
